Daytona Beach, Florida is the "World's Most Famous Beach." Its 23 miles of beautiful white sand beaches are famous the world over dating back from the very early 1900's when automobiles were first raced on the beach. Today driving on the hard-packed sand is allowed only on an 18-mile stretch of the beach during daytime hours. Five miles of beach are now reserved for visitors who wish not to have to share the beach with cars. Daytona is full of very friendly and beautiful people that are always enjoying activities at the beach from sunbathing to surfing, from walking the boardwalk to sail boarding, from gathering with friends to taking a romantic, moonlit walks on the beach. When you want a break from the beach you can also watch NASCAR racing at Daytona International Speedway, enjoy area golf courses, go deep sea fishing, dine in a variety of fabulous restaurants, shop the local stores or area malls. Daytona Beach is known as the home of such events as the Daytona 500, Rolex 24, Bike Week and Biketoberfest and of course Spring Break.
Daytona Beach is also close to some of Florida's other big vacation spots like Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, Epcot Center, Wet'nWild, Church Street Station, MGM Studios, historic St. Augustine and Kennedy Space Center.
